The codebase is documented and yours, so your team or another vendor can extend it. Maintainability without permanent dependence on us is an explicit design goal.

Custom software or another SaaS subscription?

If a SaaS tool genuinely fits, we will say so — building would be waste. Custom is right when the workflow is core, specific, and the tools force expensive compromises.
